Dojo Wars 110: Emily Wins!

A monumental upset derailed Blackwater's reign of terror.

After weeks of darkness and destruction under Blackwater’s Medal of Valor reign, a ray of sunshine broke through last night at Dojo Wars 110. In only her second match, referee Emily teamed with Frankie Pickard to upset the previously unstoppable tandem of Qefka the Quiet and Blackwater. It was a moment of vengeance for the makeshift pair as Emily exacted revenge from being ambushed after her debut a few weeks ago and Pickard now has a win over the Medal of Valor champion, advancing closer to a championship rematch.

Earlier in the evening, Blackwater and Qefka accompanied newfound ally “The Big Scare” Dan O’Hare in his bout against Tahir James, who sought retribution for his manager Capt. Kit Osbourne being blinded by Blackwater’s poisonous mist the week before. With his other senses heightened, Osbourne must have smelled his own fear, as he hightailed it backstage. Cohort Mike Del remained ringside and grabbed O’Hare’s ankle, prompting Qefka to choke out Del as O’Hare powerslammed James for the win.

As the sinister trio walked to the back, O’Hare blindsided Ace Austin, who was sitting in the crowd. O’Hare laid the boots to Austin’s taped ribs, softening up Blackwater’s challenger for next week.

In other title news, “Barely Legal” Jimmy Lloyd was seconds away from winning the Tier 1 World Heavyweight Championship from Darius Carter, but the 20-minute time limit expired. Due to a draw, Carter retained the championship in his first defense.
