31 years ago today, the road to the inaugural WrestleMania began as MTV presented The Brawl to End It All.
The main event of the one-hour special featured Wendi Richter, with pop sensation Cyndi Lauper in her corner, challenging Women’s Champion Fabulous Moolah, with Captain Lou Albano managing the 28-year champion.
There were ten other matches on the card including Hulk Hogan defending the WWE Championship against Greg “The Hammer” Valentine.
The event drew a massive 9.0 rating and launched the Rock N’ Wrestling Era.
