Who will help you take home the jellybeans?

This is not a bet-friendly PPV. All of the matches have heavy favorites, making it hard to win too many jellybeans. I’m in good shape though, as I’m halfway to getting 5 bags of them from the Toast of Tacony.

(By the way, there are no odds listed for The Usos vs. Gallows and Anderson, but straight up, I’ll take the Club.)

You know the drill: I am betting imaginary jellybeans for each match (based on Paddy Power’s odds) and keeping track of my “winnings.” I’m dividing my picks into three categories: 🔒Locks™, Solid Picks and Stay Aways. I will bet 10 jellybeans on the 🔒Locks™, five on the Solid Picks, and none on the Stay Aways.

Here are my WWE Extreme Rules picks. Remember that I’m not necessarily picking the winner, but the one that I feel is the best bet.

🔒Locks™

None.

Solid Picks

Fatal Four-way match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship

The Miz (c): 1/5 (-150)

Cesaro: 6/1 (+600)

Kevin Owens: 9/1 (+900)

Sami Zayn: 12/1 (+1200)

Pick: Cesaro

I strongly believe that Owens and Zayn will always cost each other multi-man matches until further notice. so this comes down to Miz and Cesaro. While this may be wishful thinking, I don’t see how Miz can cheat Cesaro out of the title again.

Stay Aways

No DQ match

Baron Corbin: 1/9 (-900)

Dolph Ziggler: 5/1 (+500)

Pick: Baron Corbin

Ziggler got his win at Payback, and Corbin got a win on Raw, so it’s time for Corbin to win the rubber match.

Singles match for the WWE United States Championship

Rusev: 1/5 (-500)

Kalisto (c): 3/1 (+300)

Pick: Rusev

Kalisto has had a nice run with the title, and it’s not crazy to think he could win this. But Rusev needs a direction, and with John Cena coming back soon, WWE should be planning another feud for the US title between the two.

Asylum match

Dean Ambrose: 1/7 (-700)

Chris Jericho: 4/1 (+400)

Pick: Dean Ambrose

I’m not gonna be confident betting against Jericho for a while thanks to WrestleMania, but it’s very hard to imagine Ambrose losing a match named after him.

Tag Team match for the WWE Tag Team Championship

The New Day (c): 1/5 (-500)

The Vaudevillains: 3/1 (+300)

Pick: New Day

The Vaudevillains are not over to the lever they should be to be the champs. Also, if The New Day holds the titles until July 20, they will break the record for longest-reigning WWE tag team champions of all time. Since the WWE cares about that stuff, I would be surprised if they drop the titles before then.

Submission match for the WWE Women’s Championship

Charlotte (c): 1/10 (-1000)

Natalya: 5/1 (+500)

Pick: Charlotte

I like that this match has been one of the focuses of Raw, although I wish both women were better on the mic. Charlotte needs a clean win, or at least a win without the help of her father.

Extreme Rules match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship

Roman Reigns (c): 1/10 (-1000)

AJ Styles: 5/1 (+500)

Pick: Roman Reigns

Just like last time, the intrigue in the match is not who will win, but how it will happen. Hopefully we get either a Styles win or an end to the feud, because I don’t know if I can handle three straight Reigns wins over Styles.

Overall record to date: 68-48-6

Jellybeans won to date: 35.66 on a 37-31-6 record

Biggest win: 45 jellybeans (Ryback def. Sheamus, Mark Henry, King Barrett, Dolph Ziggler & R-Truth at Elimination Chamber 2015)
