You know the drill: I am betting imaginary jellybeans for each match (based on BetWestling’s odds) and keeping track of my “winnings.” I’m dividing my picks into three categories: 🔒Locks™, Solid Picks and Stay Aways. I will bet 10 jellybeans on the 🔒Locks™, five on the Solid Picks, and none on the Stay Aways.
Here are my WWE TLC picks. Remember that I’m not necessarily picking the winner, but the one that I feel is the best bet.
🔒Locks™
None.
Solid Picks
Tables match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship
Becky Lynch (c): 5/13 (-260)
Alexa Bliss: 9/5 (+180)
Pick: Alexa Bliss
It seems like Bliss’ time. She’s been the best talker in the women’s division (on either brand) and she has enough heat to make dethroning Lynch worthwhile.
Stay Aways
Chairs match
Baron Corbin: 1/4 (-400)
Kalisto: 14/5 (+280)
Pick: Baron Corbin
It would be nice to see Kalisto get a win – since winning the U.S. Title he’s been booked very weakly. That said, Corbin has all the momentum.
No DQ match
Nikki Bella: 20/29 (-145)
Carmella: 21/20 (+105)
Pick: Nikki Bella
Although she hasn’t been in a title picture for a while, Bella is still the biggest name in the women’s division, and she will be kept strong.
Tag Team match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship
Bray Wyatt & Randy Orton: 1/6 (-600)
Heath Slater & Rhyno (c): 4/1 (+400)
Pick: Wyatt & Orton
The obvious move here is for the Wyatts to continue their domination, which admittedly isn’t something WWE has let happen in the past. In kayfabe, this is the biggest test the champs have faced, which should make for an interesting match.
Ladder match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship
The Miz (c): 10/19 (-190)
Dolph Ziggler: 3/2 (+150)
Pick: The Miz
This feud has been going on for way too long already. A Miz win means it’s likely over, a Ziggler win means it continues. The match will be great, but I hope this is the end of the road.
TLC match for the WWE World Championship
AJ Styles (c): 1/9 (-900)
Dean Ambrose: 5/1 (+500)
Pick: AJ Styles
Given SmackDown’s tendency to drag feuds out as long as possible, it’s not impossible for Ambrose to pull out the win. But chances are Styles retains here, as he is a fresher face and has a lot of intriguing potential matchups in the near future.
Overall record to date: 108-73-10
Jellybeans won to date: 20.75 on a 45-44-9 record
