When you watch the tribute videos and DVDs, you assume the Ultimate Warrior’s last match was against Hulk Hogan in 1998. That’s simply WWE editing history, because Warrior’s final match actually occurred ten years later.
In Spain. Against Orlando Jordan.
I’ll wait for your jaw to heal.
Jordan, JBL’s former Chief of Staff, was NWE Heavyweight Champion, and not a fan of the frenzied, face-painted legend. Thus, he offered Warrior a title shot, expecting the Hall of Famer to decline. However, Jordan forgot that Warrior was a lunatic. A lunatic who never backed down from a fight, especially over pride.
Warrior enlisted Rob Van Dam to train him (yes, it gets even better) and on this day in wrestling history, competed in his last match ever.
