Before the days of misogyny’s seemingly mainstream acceptance in pop culture—before rapper Lil Jon could get away with lyrics such as, “No more dick in yo pussy, just stick with your throat. You ain’t gon get no child support” in his song “Bitches Ain’t Shit—”the WWE was a staple organization in a movement of sexual exploitation that portrayed women to a lesser degree than shows such as The Jerry Springer Show.

In an era of Bra & Panties matches, the Godfather’s hoes, and Hot Lesbian Action, the WWE—known as the WWF in the good ol’ days—kept the misogyny train rolling, using Tiger Ali Singh, son of Tiger Jeet Singh, in a promo on Raw that fit in nicely with the degrading image of women that the company was portraying.

During the episode, Ali Singh boasted about the degrading standards Americans will stoop to if you offer them money, referencing previous episodes where he paid fans money to do disgusting things. This episode was no different, as Ali Singh offered $500 to any American woman who would french kiss his manager, Babu, after he had just eaten a can of sardines.

Amid a host of applicants, Babu selected only one, and Ali Singh offered her a bonus $100 if the kiss lasted five seconds. While the kiss lasted a little longer and the woman was paid, The Undertaker and Kane didn’t like what they were seeing and came out to voice their opinion on Ali Singh’s exploitation.

We “Rewind” to that special (shameful?) moment:
