While fans tune in to watch a wrestling show once or twice a week, WWE has provided both in the past and currently “guest hosts” for the show.  While some may argue that having these guest hosts is good for media’s sake, some of the hosts that WWE has brought in are just straight nonsense.

Grumpy Cat?  IT’S A CAT, PEOPLE. A cat hosting a show you grew up watching your entire life?  To me it’s a slap in the face.

Snooki.  Yes Snooki may have had her “WrestleMania moment” at WrestleMania XXVII, but do fans really want too see that?

Last night on Raw,  Larry the Cable Guy  was the latest to host WWE’s flagship program:

Is Larry the Cable Guy even relevant anymore?  Are we still in 2009?  Who wants to see Larry with his shirt off in a Rey Mysterio mask?

But the history with guest stars in the WWE hasn’t always been bad. Think back to when Mike Tyson was making headways in the WWF lockeroom.  In 1998, Tyson made a guest appearance at WrestleMania XIV as an enforcer for the main event match between Shawn Michaels and Steve Austin. During this time, Tyson was also an unofficial member of D-Generation X.

This is what made Tyson relevant in the WWF.  He was actually a part of the show and would come on regularly.

Same thing goes for Dennis Rodman and Karl Malone back in WCW.  Malone and DDP vs. Rodman and Hulk Hogan at Bash at the Beach 1998 was hyped up by WCW and was very well received.

Outside of a few successful appearances, guest hosts aren’t needed, though.  There are enough characters on the show to entertain us with actual wrestling than a C-list celebrity coming on and doing a 2-minute filler segment at best.

I would have preferred if you ranked the worst hosts in history and aired your grievance about each respective host.
